Toni Doilney grew up in Washington D.C. In college and graduate school she studied art history and anthropology. Later studying sculpture in Colorado and architecture and design in Utah. Doilney says, “I paint what I feel about a place, rather than a replica of a scene. The abstracted landscape, in all its naïve and imperfect rendering, is what appeals to me.” Currently Toni resides in the Napa Valley; where the landscape provides a constant source of inspiration.
